I grew up in Pennsylvania, where I spent my early years playing soccer and wrestling. After high school, I enlisted in the Army National Guard and went on to attend King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Following college, I commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army, serving in Field Artillery and deploying as part of the initial invasion of Iraq. After about a decade on active duty, I transitioned into Civil Affairs, a role that allowed me to work out of U.S. embassies throughout Asia. One of the highlights of my military career was spending a year assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal. Those experiences shaped my perspective, discipline, and commitment to service. Following my retirement from the Army, I pursued my passion for helping people navigate complex financial decisions. I earned my IRS Enrolled Agent credential and later met the education, exam, and experience requirements to become a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®). In 2016, I launched my own tax preparation business, focusing on individuals and small business owners. In 2022, I returned to federal service with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where I was deployed multiple times as part of a National Incident Management Team responding to the avian influenza (bird flu) outbreak. Throughout that period, I continued serving my tax clients. I recently accepted a buyout from the USDA and have fully reinvigorated my tax practice, now taking on new clients. I specialize in individual and small business taxes and work extensively with military veterans and active-duty service members. Having lived that life myself, I’m very familiar with the unique tax challenges military families face. I work virtually with clients across the country, while being physically based in Apex, North Carolina—allowing me to remain my clients’ trusted tax pro even as they move. Outside of work, I’m a proud father to an 18-year-old son who’s currently attending college. We enjoy staying active together through CrossFit and scuba diving. I bring the same dedication, integrity, and attention to detail to my tax practice that I carried throughout my military career.
